London's biggest ever wine conference kicks off with launch of Wine Vision

The biggest international wine conference ever held in London kicks off this afternoon with the inaugural Wine Vision summit organised by William Reed Business Media, publishers of Harpers.co.uk.

The event will see the leading exectuives and figures in the world of wine descend on London's Film Museum for three days of debates, discussions and keynote talks. The three days will see over 80 speakers look at how the global wine industry can collectively work together to "inspire change to create a sustainable wine business".

As well as attracting many of the biggest name in wine, the event will also see keynote talks from business leaders outside the wine sector, willing to share their experiences, with the likes of Amazon, British American Tobacco and Claessens all set to appear.

This afternoon's opening session will see Spanish producer Miguel Torres assess the globalisation of the wine market, advertising executive, Stephen Woodford of Lexis look at how create powerful brands and how to sustain them, whilst Paul Schaafsma, UK and European head of Accolade Wines will look at how you create a wine brand in a crowded market. The opening session will also look at the likely trends within the global economy and the business case for sustainability.

Other key figures lined up to talk include David Pearson of Opus One, Paul Symington, Symington Family Estates, Simon McMurtrie, Direct Wines, Dan Jago, Tesco, Adrian Bridge, The Fladgate Partnership, Debra Meiburg MW, Andrew Bird, Marks & Spencer, Pierpaolo Petrassi MW, Waitrose, Christian Seely, AXA Millesimes, Don St Pierre or ASC Fine Wines, Eduardo Chadwick, Errazuriz, Antonio Amorim and Judy Leissner, Grace Vineyards.
