Bruno Kessler takes over presidency of Anivin to help drive the Vin de France category

Published:  07 May, 2013

Bruno Kessler has been voted the new president of French body, Anivin, that has helped spearhead the growth of the Vin de France wine category.

Kessler, who is currently associate director of Grand Sud Vin, part of the Bernard Taillan Group, replaces René Moreno, who represented the wine growing side of the business. The decision is in keeping with Anivin's strategy to alternate the presidency between wine growing and the trade side of its business.

Kessler said: "With the Vin de France category, Anivin de France has today proved that the French wine industry is capable of successfully facing the challenges of global competitiveness, fierce competition and diverse international consumer demands. With sales centred predominantly on exports and quadrupling in just three years, the Vin de France category has more than justified its existence."

Anivin, under Kessler's presidency, is committed in the year ahead to:

? maintain confidence in Vin de France and strengthen its position through market share and sales

? strengthen its promotion through image-building activity

? allow Vin de France to fight on a level playing field with wine producers throughout the world

? support the production of quality wine and encourage creativity and innovation in the Vin de France category.
