First Drinks is planning to launch limited-edition packs of Grant's Scotch whisky and Three Barrels brandy, complete with free branded glass, exclusively to the convenience, specialist and wholesale channels.

Six different collectable Grant's glasses will be available, with the first three launched in May and three more following in September; while three different glasses will be available with Three Barrels packs. Both will keep an rrp of £16.49.

Grant's, the world's oldest family-owned whisky blend, will see its glasses adopt the Grant's Family Reserve labels from 1903 to 2013, while the Three Barrels glasses will feature designs by typographer Alison Carmichael.

Oliver Dickson, senior brand manager for Grant's and Three Barrels at First Drinks, said: "Both Grant's and Three Barrels have a loyal following of drinkers, who we hope will enjoy the new collectable glasses. The glasses also make great gifts, which with Father's Day approaching, provides retailers with another gifting solution from First Drinks.

"Gifting is currently worth £125 million to the impulse channel and with the support of exclusives such as the Grant's and Three Barrels collectable glasses, we expect to see the channel benefit as a result."

The initiative will be supported in-store with POS, posters and a dedicated Grant's microsite.
