World Wine Agencies and Heritage Wines have joined forced to represent Don Sebastiani & Sons in as their exclusive UK agent for the UK.

Using totally separate wines and labels, Heritage Wine will represent Don Sebastiani & Sons in the on trade, and selected independent & off trade, while World Wine Agencies will concentrate on the independent sector, direct mail, and work with a number of off-trade partners.

"I have known Don Sebastiani & Sons for the many years," said Nicky Burston, director of World Wine Agencies. "They are highly successful in USA, but I believe there is a lot more could be done with this winery in order for them to achieve their full potential in UK market."

Guy Adams, managing director of Heritage Wine, was particularly impressed with the wines when he visited during a buying trip to California earlier this year. "Working closely with WWA also made sense," Adams explained, "as they use our warehousing facilities and do not cross-over to our strongest business sector which is direct restaurant sales."

Heritage Wine and World Wine Agencies will launch in UK on trade/independent trade with The Crusher label, a premium range selected from key growers, and will maintain Pepperwood Grove in the off-trade sector. The Smoking Loon brand will be offered to premium retail and direct mail customers.

Donny Sebastiani, chief executive of his family's company said: "We take pride in partnering with other like-minded organisations - independent, progressive-thinking companies that are able to make decisions quickly. The UK is an important growth market for us - as such, we made an extra effort to find the right agents to represent my family's portfolio."

A further range of Don Sebastiani & Sons wines will be launched in February at the Wine Institute California tasting in February 2012.
