Davy’s teams up with New Zealand winery

Published:  08 April, 2019

Indie wine merchant and wholesaler Davy’s has announced an exclusive distribution partnership with New Zealand estate, Te Kano.

Davy’s will list five Te Kano’s wines, two Pinot Noirs, a Pinot Gris, a Chardonnay and a Blanc de Noir.

“As a family-owned and run, independent wine merchant, we have the freedom to be very selective about the wines we offer, and Te Kano ticks every box ‒ quality and value from a family business,” said Davy’s chairman James Davy.

“It is a rising star and I have no doubt will challenge top spot in Otago very soon. We are very happy to bring the first vintage release to the UK market.”

Located in Central Otago, Te Kano specialises in producing award-winning wines in limited quantities from three vineyards.

Two are well established vineyards in the Bannockburn subregion, the third is a 32ha site in Northburn. Still in development, the vineyard has seen its first bottling this year.
