Stannary St Wine Co appoints fine wine account manager

Published:  24 January, 2019

Stannary St Wine Co has expanded its team with the addition of Kim Suddens as fine wine account manager.

Joining the online wine merchant with immediate effect, Suddens has spent the past year and a half working for Lea & Sandeman following a 10-year stint working in the hedge fund industry in London and Geneva.

Growing up between Alsace, Germany and the South of France, Suddens developed a passion for Riesling at an early age, while she cultivated a “love for nearby Burgundy” during her time in Switzerland as she became a regular visitor and expert in the region during her years in the hedge fund industry.

Her “hands-on experience in the most complex wine region” had lent her an edge in her studies for the WSET diploma, where she achieved distinction in her first exam, said Sara Guiducci, joint heads of private client sales.

“We’re thrilled to have Kim join the team, especially in time to take part in our busiest campaign of the year – Burgundy En Primeur. At Stannary St Wine Co we believe in fostering the best talent we can find, so we were delighted to have Kim join our team,” she said.

Stannary St Wine Co was born from trade wine merchant Flint Wines, when directors and founders Jason Haynes and Sam Clarke elected to create a dedicated team for the growing private client branch.

In their joint role of heads of private client sales, Tom Bird and Guiducci have directed the team’s expansion after three years of consistent sales growth of 30-40%.
