Pernod Ricard signs deal as UK distributor of new non-alcoholic ‘gin’ brand

Published:  02 July, 2018

Pernod Ricard UK has signed a deal as the exclusive UK distributor of new non-alcoholic ‘gin’ brand Ceder’s.

The deal will see the premium Ceder’s brand, which claims to contain all the flavours of gin but without the alcohol, launched across Britain later this month.

Handcrafted and available in 50cl bottles (rrp: £19.99), the range comprises three flavours - Classic (akin to a classic gin, mostly juniper but with floral hints), Wild (juniper combined with ginger, clove and rooibos) and Crisp (juniper combined with citrus, cucumber and camomile), and is a combination of Swedish style and pristine water, with wild and rare South African botanicals found in the Cederberg mountains of the Western Cape.

The deal formed part of Pernod Ricard UK’s ambition to continue to give consumers more choice and to satisfy the growing demand for no alcohol options, said managing director Laurent Pillet.

“This is a growing and exciting area for Pernod Ricard UK and we are delighted to offer our customers and consumers a non-alcoholic gin alternative.”

Ceder’s, which has been created by husband and wife team Craig Hutchison and Maria Sehlstrom, will be available in Sainsbury’s and on The Whisky Exchange from the 22nd and 7th July 2018 respectively with further listings to be announced in due course.
