Tesco adds sparklers to its range

Published:  29 September, 2017

Tesco has added four new sparkling wines to its Finest own-label wine range this month, created in partnership with world renowned producers.

The Finest range offers quality sparkling wines from France and Italy as well as introducing customers to some traditional styles from lesser-known regions.

This brings the total number of sparkling wines and champagnes stocked in the Tesco sparkling range to 23.

The expansion is part of a strategy to develop the Tesco wine range, by improving the quality, selection, availability and simplifying the pricing of its own label wines.

The four Finest wines include Franciacorta DOCG Brut, produced in partnership with Castel Faglia, priced at £15. The Cremant de Limoux Rose, in partnership with Sieur d'Arque, priced at £11 while Prosecco Frizzante, produced by Fratelli Martini Secondo Luigi S.P.A, is priced at £5.65.

The Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG Magnum is priced at £19 and produced by Cantine Maschio.

“We have been working closely with our customers’ needs and have seen an increase in the number of shoppers wanting to enjoy sparkling wines from a variety of different countries and regions,” said Tesco’s product developer for sparkling, Alex Runciman.

“These fantastic new Tesco sparkling wines offer customers an opportunity to discover a range of top quality sparkling wines at exceptional prices. We hope Tesco own label wines will become a real destination for wine exploration and discovery for shoppers across the country.”
