Coravin becomes corporate patron of the WSET

Wine preservation company Coravin has been inducted into the WSET's Corporate Patrons programme.

Wine preservation company Coravin has been inducted into the WSET's Corporate Patrons programme.

Coravin is the latest has organisation to support the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET), joining 44 others brands which help to provide funds and support the education body.

Coravin was founded in the early 2000s and is known for its by-the-glass technology which allows drinkers and servers to access and pour wine without pulling the cork.

Speaking of the partnership, Ian Harris, WSET chief executive, said: "Education is now a key focus for all sectors of the industry and as the training and development needs of the industry evolve, so must we keep pace with change.

"Coravin is creating a revolution in the wine industry and having its support as a corporate patron will bring mutual benefits to both our businesses. Coravin joins a growing list of companies that recognise the value that education can bring to their business and customers, and we are very grateful for their support."

WSET is the largest global provider of qualifications in the field of wines and spirits, with courses currently available in 19 languages and 72 countries.

Corvin has joined the Corporate Patrons programme as a bronze patron.
