LGI signs deal with Rhone producer to supply its wines to the UK

Published:  01 September, 2015

Southern French wine specialist LGI is to handle the wines of Rhône producer Dauvergne & Ranvier in the UK.

The deal covers both on- and off-trade.

LGI is an export-focused French company specialising in sourcing wines from the south of France through a network of partner co-operatives and wineries throughout the region.

Dauvergne & Ranvier was set up in 2005 to work with growers and co-operatives in AOCs throughout southern and northern Rhône to produce quality-driven wines at competitive price points.

Peter Crameri, LGI's UK sales director, said: "The synergies between the businesses are quite striking.

"Both are focused on identifying and sourcing the best terroirs to blend wines for specific markets, and that really hit their price points.

"Being able to offer wines from neighbouring Rhône, as well as our own ranges from the Languedoc-Roussillon and Gascony, means we really are the go to southern French specialists for our current and potential customers."

LGI's portfolio includes Cuvée de Richard, sold by Majestic, and Duo des Vignes, listed by The Wine Society.

The latest deal includes wines under the Dauvergne & Ranvier and Domaine des Muretins labels.
