Spanish chef Pizarro signs as ambassador for wine producer Codorníu in the UK
Spanish wine producer Codorníu Raventos has signed up chef José Pizarro as its ambassador in the UK for the next two years.
The partnership will focus on the on-trade exclusive Anna de Codorníu Blanc de Blancs brand and comes as he opens his José Pizarro Broadgate restaurant in the City of London.
The restaurant will have a branded Anna Blanc de Blancs terrace as part of the partnership deal and all three restaurants in Pizarro's group will showcase the fizz along with a range of still wines from the Codorníu portfolio.
Pizarro said: "It is amazing to partner with a Spanish brand that I love and that represents both great value and great quality."
Simon Bradbury, Codorníu UK managing director, added: "José is the leading Spanish chef in the UK and his star is still rising. He has natural synergy with our brand.
"It's exciting to have him on board to help us grow the Codorníu brand in the UK over the next few years."
