Quaglino's partners with Tanqueray to launch pop-up indoor garden

Published:  03 August, 2015

Quaglino's in Mayfair has teamed up with Tanqueray to launch its own indoor pop-up bar for the duration of the summer. The Giovanni Gin Garden will transform the legendary London restaurant into a floral haven through to the end of August.

Tanqueray has developed a bespoke cocktail menu for the garden, including Venetian Martinis, a Tanqueray & Tonic Mojito, and a Carbonated Strawberry Aviation. The bar will also serve the brand's entire gin portfolio, including Tanqueray No. Ten.

The venue will play host to a series of masterclasses led a team of expert bartenders, at which customers can learn to craft their own cocktails using ingredients foraged from the garden itself.

The Giovanni Gin Garden will showcase the work of installation artists who will reimagine the indoor space using features such as a pergola wrapped in vines and lanterns, silken wisteria, and natural seasonal branches of jasmine, honeysuckle and passionflower.

The garden is named after the restaurant's founder, John 'Giovanni' Quaglino.

On Saturday 29 August, the season will end with an 'end of summer' brunch party.

Quaglino's is owned by D&D London, who operates over 30 leading restaurants in London, Leeds, Paris, New York and Tokyo.

Tanqueray is a London gin first distilled in 1830. It is now owned by Diageo.
