French wine brand, Les Dauphins, hopes to expand consumer's knowledge of the Rhône by launching three new wines promoting three local villages in the Côtes du Rhône region - Puyméras, Visan and St Maurice.

Les Dauphins has already helped promote the Rhône to the mass wine consumer since it was launched in 2011 and it has gone on to be one of the success stories of the French wine branded market.

Dedicated Wines, which helped create the brand, for major Rhône producer, Cellier des Dauphin, is confident the Les Dauphins brand now has enough consumer recognition to be able to support pushing it in to more niche areas of the region.

Richard Evans, co-founder of Dedicated Wines, said: "With the launch of Les Dauphins Côtes du Rhône single village wines from Puyméras, Visan and St Maurice we can bring to consumers high quality, village level wines, combined with the reassurance of a familiar brand. These are smaller production wines, but we will be able to make parcels available for multiple retailers."

Cellier des Dauphins, also known as Union des Vignerons des Côtes du Rhône, is particularly well placed to source good commercial quantities of wine from across the region as it has "unrivalled access" to 3,000 growers across the southern Rhône region.

Villages in the Côtes du Rhône that are recognised as being able to produce high quality wines are able to put their name on the label.

All three wines are made up from a Grenache/Syrah blend.

The wines will be launched at ProWein in Düsseldorf, Germany (March 15-17 ) and will also be on Dedicated Wines table at France Under One Roof in London on March 24.
