David Beckham's Haig Club whisky to open pop-up bar and retail store for Christmas

David Beckham's Haig Club whisky is opening up a pop-up bar in Manchester and its own dedicated retail store in London during the build up to Christmas.

The whisky, which has been launched with great fanfare by Diageo Reserve with an extensive media and advertising campaign featuring Beckham in key markets around the world, is also now moving in to retail with a link up with the Whisky Shop and has created its own dedicated store at London's Westfield Shopping Centre.

Customers will be able to taste the brand neat and in specially created cocktails in a store that will also feature the rest of Diageo Reserve's portfolio, including Talisker, Bulleit Bourbon and Mortlach.

The bar link up sees a luxury pop-up bar called 'The Reserve Bar' in Manchester's Spinningfields, next to the city's ice rink, which will feature a number of Haig Club tastings and whisky talks.

Nick Temperley, head of Diageo Reserve GB, said: "We're really excited to be celebrating our first Christmas with Haig Club. The Whisky Shop store in Westfield will attract existing whisky lovers and people new to the category who are looking for a bit of advice, whilst The Reserve Bar in Manchester is a wonderful location for consumers to try Haig Club for the first time and learn more about the brand, whilst soaking in the festive atmosphere at Spinningfields."

The Whisky Shop Haig Club pop-up in London's Westfield will be open throughout the festive period and The Reserve Bar in Manchester will be open until early January.
