Moët & Chandon joins Europe's celebrations at the Ryder Cup

Europe's victory in this weekend's Ryder Cup brought smiles not only to golf fans across the continent, but to the marketing team at Moët & Chandon whose sponsorship of the event resulted in priceless images of the winning team celebrating with its Champagne appearing in the international press around the world.

Europe's victory in this weekend's Ryder Cup brought smiles not only to golf fans across the continent, but to the marketing team at Moët & Chandon whose sponsorship of the event resulted in priceless images of the winning team celebrating with its Champagne appearing in the international press around the world.

In the end Europe ran out of comfortable winners, beating the US by 16.5 points to 11.5 points, across the three-day event held in front of thousands of spectators at Gleneagles. Jamie Donaldson was the lucky European player to hit the winning shot.

It was the first time in over 40 years that the bi-annual event had been played in Scotland and only the second time in the Ryder Cup's history.

As official Champagne of the tournament Moët & Chandon was able to let the European team celebrate in style by presenting them with Jeroboams and Magnums of Champagne on the winners' podium.

Moët & Chandon has been the official Champagne of The Ryder Cup since 1993 and has also been supporting the European Tour for the last 21 years.

It was one of a number of drinks sponsors of this year's Ryder Cup which included Mouton Cadet as the official wine sponsor and Diageo's Johnnie Walker as the official whisky.
