Quintessential Brands appoints Francois Quarez as managing director of Essential Drinks

Quintessential Brands has appointed former senior PepsiCo executive Francios Quarez to head operations at its spirits supply firm Essential Drinks Company.

Quarez has worked in senior sales and business leadership roles in FMCG for the past 25 years, most recently with Cott Beverages and prior to that with Pepsico Inc and Proctor and Gamble.

He has spent most of his career working in Europe and his appointment extends the international executive leadership team at the Quintessential Brands Group, which owns G&J Distillers, among other firms.

Warren Scott, chief executive of the Quintessential Brands Group, said: "We are delighted to be welcoming Francois to the group and very much look forward to working with him as we continue to expand Essential Drinks Company, the spirits supplier business to retailers and brand owners, in the UK and internationally."

Quintessential Brands was founded by Enzo Visone and Warren Scott and the group companies include Quintessential Brands Company, Essential Drinks, G&J Distillers, First Ireland Spirits and the UK brand agency Marblehead Brand Development.

Essential Drinks Company is the spirits supply division of the Quintessential Brands Group, which works with sister firms G&J Distillers and First Ireland Spirits, in both UK and international customers.

The Quintessential Brands portfolio includes Greenall's The Original London Dry Gin, BLOOM Gin, Berkeley Square London Dry Gin, Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin and Toussaint Coffee Rum Liqueur. The portfolio has recently been expanded by the addition of O'Mara Irish Country Cream, Feeney's Irish Cream Liqueur, Irish Knights, Irish Country Cream and The Dubliner Irish Whiskey Liqueur.
