Published:  07 June, 2014

London's Regent Street is set to be closed on Sunday, June 8 to make way for 120 Super Cars competing in the Gumball 3000 rally which sees motoring enthusiasts cross 3,000 miles across the United States and Europe between June 5-11. Nicolas Feuillatte is not only the official Champagne for the race, but has two branded cars competing in the rally.

The rally has already been travelling across the US and will this weekend hit the streets of London at the end of a day that will have seen them travel down the country from Scotland.

To mark the 15th anniversary of the event Regent Street is going to be closed for a day of car displays, extreme sports demonstrations, live music from a Capital FM stage and Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne bars. Competing drivers in this year's race will embark on Regent Street on Sunday evening, and park up their cars for a night off to relax.

They then head off to Paris on June 9 for the next stage of the European adventure which will take them through France and Spain to the chequered flag in Ibiza.

The Gumball rally has built up a worldwide reputation as an event that attracts adventurers and fun seekers and is as much known for the parites and events surrounding the event as much as the race itself.

It is also about fundraising and the Gumball Charitable Foundation was established in 2013 to raise money for the envionment and good causes.
