Bleeding Heart celebrates 30 years in business with food and wine at 1983 prices

Published:  17 September, 2013

It's time to dig out those old Wham T-shirts and head down to the Bleeding Heart Restaurant in London where you can help its owners, Robert and Robyn Wilson, celebrate 30 years in business with wine and food at 1983 prices, including wines by the glass at just 95p each.

The Wilsons opened the original wine bar that sat just 40 people back in 1983 in the historic Bleeding Heart Yard, today the restaurant, bistro, terrace, tavern and private rooms seat 10 times that amount topping out at 400 covers.

They are even putting their hands in their own pockets to fund the special 95p a glass offer as the wines come from their own vineyards in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.

The celebrations at the restaurant started on September 13 and different specials will be running for a week.  Several of the menu items will be also be served at prices circa 1983 including The Bistro's three course meal at £9.83 and at the flagship Restaurant there is a five-course menu for £19.83.

Throughout next week, The Tavern will be serving a selection of dishes at their 1983 prices

They are not promising, however, to dig out their old Wham CDs for you to enjoy as well as the 1983 prices.
